Cristiano Ronaldo compared to Leo Messi…
As always, anything Cristiano Ronaldo does is compared to Leo Messi.

On Saturday at the Bernabeu, before the Sevilla rout, Ronaldo showed off his Ballon d’Or, very much on his own.

And, who can begrudge Ronaldo enjoying his individual success in this manner?

Well, fans of Leo Messi have pointed out that the Argentine was hugely inclusive when he showed off his Ballon d’Or to the Camp Nou.

For the record, Messi picked up his fifth Ballon d’Or and presented it to the Barcelona home support on January 17, 2016.

On that day, Barcelona beat Athletic Bilbao 6-0 and the scenes ahead of the match looked like this:

Meanwhile, this was the scene at the Bernabeu today:

Real Madrid and Cristiano Ronaldo had been struggling in La Liga before the match with Sevilla on Saturday. Things now look very different.

Nacho got the ball rolling with the opener on 3 minutes. Cristiano Ronaldo scored on 23 and 31 – the second a penalty.

Toni Kroos and Achraf Hakimi finished the goal scoring before half-time as Real Madrid put some pressure on Barcelona at the top of La Liga.
